What we collect, why we keep it, and how to get it removed. Last updated 20 September 2026.
Car Bros WA (ABN 21 284 040 265) is a mobile mechanic business working across the Perth metro area. You can reach us on 0424 501 108 or at carbroswa@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you send a job card
The form on this site asks for your name, the best number to call you back on, the vehicle, the address where the car is, what the car is doing, and when suits you. The registration number is optional. That form is emailed straight to our own inbox. It is not stored in a database on this website.
When you ring, text or message us
We end up with your phone number and whatever you tell us about the car. If you book work in, we keep a record of the job, the parts fitted and the invoice.
When you just visit the site
This site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking, which set cookies in your browser. They tell us which pages get read, roughly which part of Perth people are in, what sort of device they used, whether they arrived from one of our ads, and whether they tapped a call button. None of that tells us your name.
Why we keep it
- To quote the job and turn up at the right car at the right address.
- To ring you back, and to reach you if something changes.
- To keep proper service records, logbook stamps and invoices, which is also what protects your new car warranty claim later.
- To work out which ads bring real customers, so we are not wasting money.
Who else sees it
Google, because the site uses their analytics and advertising tools. A parts supplier when we order a part for your car, which usually means the vehicle details rather than your name. Our accountant and the tax office, for invoices. That is the list.
We do not sell your details, we do not hand them to marketing lists, and we do not send bulk advertising emails or texts.
How long we keep it
Invoices and job records are kept for at least five years, because tax law requires it. Job cards and messages for work that never went ahead are deleted once they are clearly no longer needed.
Cookies, and how to say no
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. You can turn off Google Analytics across every site with Google’s own opt-out add-on, and control what Google uses for advertising in My Ad Centre. Blocking cookies does not stop you using this site or sending a job card.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your information
Email carbroswa@gmail.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold, correct anything wrong, and delete what we are not required to keep. There is no charge for asking.
Where we stand legally
We are a small business. The Privacy Act 1988 generally does not apply to businesses turning over less than three million dollars a year, so most of it does not apply to us. We follow the sensible parts of it anyway, because it is your information. If you are unhappy with how we handled it, email us first. If that does not sort it out, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner oversees privacy in Australia.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
Still want to ask a person?
Ring me and ask. It is a small business, so the person who answers is the person who did the work.
