Home/Baldivis to Mandurah

Mobile mechanic, Baldivis to Mandurah

I am Charlie, the other half of Car Bros. I work out of Baldivis and cover everything from here south to Mandurah, on your driveway, at a price agreed before I set off.

Baldivis to Mandurah8am–8pm, 7 daysFixed price up front

Car Bros is two brothers. My brother Lucky works out of Beckenham and covers the southeast corridor and the wider metro. I am based in Baldivis, so if your car is anywhere between here and Mandurah, I am usually the one who turns up.

That matters more than it sounds. A mobile mechanic driving down from the northern suburbs has the best part of an hour on the freeway before he reaches you, and that time ends up somewhere: either in the price, or in how long you sit waiting for him. Being local to this corridor is the whole point of having someone down here.

Suburbs I cover

  • Baldivis, Karnup and Singleton
  • Rockingham, Shoalwater, Safety Bay and Waikiki
  • Warnbro, Port Kennedy, Secret Harbour and Golden Bay
  • Madora Bay, San Remo, Lakelands and Meadow Springs
  • Mandurah, Halls Head, Dudley Park, Erskine and Falcon

If you are just outside that, ring and ask rather than assuming. The list is where most of my work happens, not a boundary, and it costs you nothing to find out. If the drive genuinely does not work I will say so instead of taking the booking and being late.

What I do

The same work as the rest of Car Bros, with the same fixed price up front:

  • Logbook servicing to the manufacturer schedule, book stamped, warranty safe
  • Brakes and suspension, pads, rotors, fluid, shocks and bushes
  • Batteries and starting problems, including working out whether it is the battery, the alternator or the starter
  • Check engine lights, scanned properly with live data rather than a code read and a guess
  • Cooling, belts and leaks, which matter more down here in February than people expect
  • Pre-purchase inspections, which I will do anywhere in the corridor before you hand over money

One thing we do not do, so you are not wasting a phone call: roadworthy and licence transfer inspections. Those have to be done at a licensed inspection station, which no mobile setup can be.

How the callout works

The callout is $100, and it comes off the bill. So if I come out and do the work, you are not paying it twice. You get the price for the whole job, parts included, before I leave to come to you.

Distance inside the corridor does not change the price. Baldivis to Mandurah is my patch, not a long-distance job, and I am not going to bill you for the drive.

Where the car needs to be

Anywhere I can safely work on it. Your driveway is the usual one. A work car park suits people who would rather not lose an evening. The kerb outside your place is fine for most jobs, and if it has stopped somewhere and will not start, that is where I come.

What I cannot do is work on a steep slope, somewhere the car is unsafe to lift, or anywhere I would be lying in live traffic. If that is the situation, ring me and we will sort out the sensible option.

Common questions

How far south do you actually go?

Mandurah is the edge of it, and I do go that far regularly. Past Mandurah it depends on the job, so ask.

Do I need to be home?

Not usually. As long as I can reach the car and you are contactable by phone if a decision comes up, plenty of jobs happen while people are at work or getting on with their day.

Can you come the same day?

Often, especially for a car that will not start. For a service, a day or two of notice means I arrive with the right parts already with me instead of going to fetch them.

Is it the same business as Car Bros in Perth?

Same business, same prices, same phone manner. There are two of us and we work different ends of the metro, so whoever is closer to you is the one who comes out.

Tell me the year, make and noise

Ring me, or fill in the job card and it lands straight in my inbox. Callout is $100 and it comes off the bill.
